This past weekend MHF Skarpnäck hosted the first round of the Swedish National Cup at the Green Hill race track. In the 4WD qualifications local driver Niclas Månsson took the overall TQ with Alexander Landén lining up second for the finals. In the first final the top three cars broke away quite early, and they kept their running order runnig tightly together for a while until Niclas made a bobble. Alexander picked up the lead but he make a bobble two turns later allowing Wilhelm Skjödebrand, who had been starting third, in turn inherited the lead and drove really well so ther was no chance catching him unless he made a mistake. Finally Wilhelm kept the lead and Alexander finished in second.
In the second final Niclas made a small mistake going into the wall ride and Alexander took immediate advantage. After a very stable drive to stay in front, Alexander secure the win in the second round from Wilhelm. All this meant that only Alexander or Wilhelm could take the overall victory. The third leg started off by the top cars opened a gap on the field again, and the top three cars were running in original order the whole race. Thanks to a very sensible drive and a good control of the situation, Alexander took the overall win from Wilhelm and Niclas in second and third respectively.
