It seems Mugen Seiki are in for a much-changed 2017 lineup as the latest driver to announce his departure in the post World Championship exodus was arguably their hottest (future/current) star – Davide Ongaro.
The news comes thick and fast after the likes of Lee Martin and Spain’s Baldo brothers Bryan & Oscar have all departed – at this stage, outside the US team (Drake, Ogden & Truhe), Robert Batlle their sole representative ranked in the Top 25.
NeoBuggy expects that young Davide to head to Team Associated as the photo below suggests. Davide had this to say:
“After three years of a successful cooperation with Mugen Seiki Europe that peaked with the brilliant results at the Vegas Worlds, it is time for me and my team to try a new adventure. My new destination will be announced shortly. I would like to take the chance to thank Stefan at MSE, Sanada San and Osaka San at Mugen Japan, and my team mates Adam Drake and Robert Batlle for all the support they gave me. Your help is something I’ll be forever grateful for.”
