New headlights for my Bomber

A while back I saw some great looking square headlights on a Twin Hammers and wanted a set for my Bomber. After some investigation, I discovered that the housings were 3d printed, which meant that the LEDs themselves were likely a common part. After more digging, I found that they were an automotive 194 bulb, which meant that they were already set up for 12v applications.

This is the bulb:

I whipped up a housing in Fusion 360 and printed a couple out. I cut down the backs of the bulbs to shorten them, soldered some wire to them, and spent all afternoon taking the Bomber apart and wiring it into my receiver controlled relay that I use to switch my light bar on and off.

The color temp is a little cooler than the light bar, but I really like how they look, and the total cost was only about a buck a pair.

I’m pretty happy with how they look.

I’ll add some 3d renderings of the printed housings when I’m on my PC.
