Exotek introduce new 6.1 series optionals

Exotek have introduced three new option parts for the 6.1 series of Team Associated vehicles such as the B6.1, T6.1 and SC6.1. First up is an aluminium motor heatsink. Machined from 7075 aluminium, it comes polished in black with blue chamfered accents goes great with the stock plastic parts or after market blue parts. The alloy material is kept in place around the motor and bolt screws to resist excess motor plate flex or bending but machined out elsewhere to reduce its weight to 12gr each. The backside spacers are machined into the plate to provide more secure mounting to the gearbox. The black motor plate helps reduce your motor temps while the built in gear cover is stronger than the stock plastic cover to insure that the body does not press the cover onto the spur gear in hard tumbles.

Next up is the aluminium steering crank set. It features also a customized polished black base with blue chamfered accents goes great with the stock plastic parts or after market blue parts. The alloy construction insures precise steering input and heavy duty long lasting performance.

Also new is the lightweight polished titanium slipper shaft. With almost half the weight of the stock bolt at 2.2gr, this titanium bolt lightens your rotating mass and lowers your CG. It is a direct fit on the stock laydown top shaft and slipper and uses the stock slipper pin and hardware.

Hot Racing Night Crawler Metal Transmission Gears – SNCR1000T

I recently finished a custom build on my losi night crawler. Unfortunately, the added weight of my 1/8 aluminum chassis and hard body have put some strain on the drive-train. This has left me in need of some metal transmission gears if I am going to continue to use my rig, because the stock plastic gears stripped in about 10 minutes on my first run. However, I was only able to find 1 set on ebay and cannot find anymore.

I have contacted Hot Racing about the gears and there seems to be no hurry to get them back in stock. Has anyone else contacted Hot Racing about these gears? I figure if enough people contact them, maybe they will do a run.
