This past weekend was held the opener round of the SRS UK Championships at the KMCC track. Here is the race report by Nemo Racing:
“Brilliant day yesterday at Round 1 of the 2017 SRS UK Championships which was run at the awesome Kent model car club. A full entry ensured a long day full of competition and fun, with the Nemo team spirit in full swing all day there was never a dull moment Results wise we had a double podium in nitro buggy with Callum and Ollie whipping it up and making the full Nemo package look dialled on track. Callum was charging hard and was closing down on first place at a mesmerising rate. The Beta Freeride tire clearly holding up and lasting brilliantly compared to our competitors choice.
In the end he ran out of time but still took second position. Congratulations to Jamie, who’s driving so well currently, a well deserved win…… in truck Jon was able to TQ and take the win, with Mike taking a brilliant 2nd. We had 7 A215T in the main, underlining just how proud we are of the performance of that platform. Lastly our sincere thanks to KMCC for once again providing arguably the best track in the UK and running a slick meeting with so many drivers to accommodate, and to the SRS organisers for managing to create a fun and friendly atmosphere – welcoming to racers old and new – exactly what this style of series should be all about….. next weekend we are down in Wales for the NitroXCross double header race and we will be there providing support and advice.”
