First big race debut with for the new brand, the boss is here watching and he sticks it on TQ in round 1. Not too shabby from Ty Tessmann, here this weekend with a point to prove any doubters of his winter move that the speed is there and wins will come. The final heat saw Elliott Boots hold provisional TQ going into the last round, Elliott would end up 6th overall whilst the final heat was dominated by Tessmann and Maifield, the pair were on a near-identical pace with Maifield just ahead until the 2nd last lap where a mistake dropped him off the TQ pace, Tessmann held it together and lowered his expected time.
Taking 3rd Dakotah Phend also making his bi race debut for REDS power, Truck TQ Ryan Lutz looks to have a new lease of life with his BLOK powerplant claiming 4th.
In lucky 13th Joseph Quagraine with his ‘Black Edition’ buggy, one spot ahead of David Ronnefalk who endured a mistake-laden run with new team mate Cody King in 11th, similarly Jared Tebo mistakes cost the Kyosho star.
Less windy conditions on Friday here at the DNC, noticeably warmer and still no watering of the track which is rather strange not seeing Joey and his men running wildly across the track with hoses.
